Dr Rafael Bach, Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in melanoma and skin cancer, Liverpool

Dr. Rafael Bach Mora is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, specialising in the management of melanoma and skin cancer. He completed his medical degree in Málaga and his specialist training in Barcelona, followed by a visiting fellowship at Clatterbridge before his appointment as a Consultant.

Dr. Bach has a particular focus on the safe delivery of immunotherapy, including the recognition and management of treatment-related side effects. His clinical work is complemented by his involvement in research, serving as sub-investigator and principal investigator for international clinical trials.

He also contributes to research into advanced cell therapies, including tumour-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy, at one of the UK's leading cancer centres.

His clinical practice covers the full spectrum of systemic therapy for skin cancers, including checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy (nivolumab, pembrolizumab, ipilimumab), BRAF/MEK targeted therapy for melanoma, and cemiplimab for advanced squamous cell carcinoma. He provides private consultations for patients across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
